Ribbons are Flying!

I've been so busy lately, I completely forgot to give these showstoppers credit where credit is due!

First up is Spirit. My first home-bred Mangalarga to achieve a beginner champion title! This stallion is flashy, sassy, and all the things I want for this critically endangered breed. We are so proud to have bred him and that he got his first title at the young age of 6 years, 11 months!

Next up is a flashy young colt that swept his futurity last night! King is the son of Royal Asset, a homebred son of our late champions Cody and Fancy and we couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments! King scored an impressive 72.92 in Stallions Halter and 69.24 in Stallions Western Pleasure. We can't wait to see how he does against the big kids!

Last and certainly not least is a filly that's been getting a lot of attention lately. Baby stole our hearts when she swept her futurity last year and we were absolutely floored when she flew through the beginner western bracket, earning her beginner title at only 3 years, 8 months of age!! Daughter of PaintedLady's amazing roan stallion Steppennwolf, we can't wait to see more from this little stunner! I have a feeling the photographer will need to come out soon!

  2. Thanks Randi! Unfortunately the rest of my Mangalarga stock has been cursed lol. I lost my best filly from this year's foal crop to exhaustion (learned a valuable lesson in trying to continue to train an exhausted horse...) and my best colt from the year before was also exhausted twice and is down to 53%! *sigh* Here's hoping the babies born next year will be luckier!
